Celebration of Youth

Urban youth aged 13-19 are engaged in a three-week Cobblestone Arts Center program called 'Celebration of Youth.' This initiative brings together students from urban areas and local school districts like Canandaigua and Victor, alongside peers with disabilities. Since its inception in 1999, this program thrives on community grants and donations. Participants receive a daily stipend, encouraging hands-on learning about kindness, respect, compassion, and responsibility. Through this program, teens gain valuable real-life experiences and unique interactions with individuals with disabilities, an opportunity often uncommon for both teens and adults.

We strive to foster an inclusive and supportive environment that not only recognizes their invaluable contributions but also prioritizes their well-being by providing resources and advocating for their needs. Our dedication extends beyond gratitude, aiming to create lasting support structures where veterans feel valued and integrated into our community fabric.

Dayhabilitation Program

The 'Celebrating the Arts' Day Program, a full-day NYS Medicaid initiative, runs Monday to Friday from 9am to 2pm year-round. Participants range from high school graduates to seniors. It mirrors a school day, grouping students by interests for hour-long classes in various arts like Music, Dance, Theater, Visual Arts, Writing, and Media Studies. Each three-month theme, chosen collectively, dives into rich topics like Greek Mythology, Hollywood's Golden Era, Science in the Arts, and more.
